Why?

In the southern Malaysia state of Johor, which is just a stone's throw away from Singapore (literally right in front of you).

It's strategically situated at the heart of Southeast Asia.

Story began with a group of local, expat and Bitcoiner serendipitously found themselves residing in this charming coastal town, each for their unique reasons.

Bound by the ethos of low time preference and the principles of proof of work, each of us intentionally chose this place to build our lives, careers, businesses, and families, were astounded by the affordability and remarkable infrastructure, including international schools, housing, and excellent airport connections to explore the Asia. We recognized this as the ideal location to establish a grassroots lead bitcoin coastal hub.

Together, they initiated a community project with a vision of crafting this locale into Bitcoin Harbour—an inclusive hub for bitcoiner.
